JCL Researchers specialize in educational research aimed at improving education policy, expanding access to quality education, and the development of effective school climate and culture.
When research is done ethically and effectively, it holds great power. Research allows us to evaluate current practice and opens the door for future initiatives. JCL Researchers design all elements of educational research involving students, educators, and stakeholders. It can be used for school or board wide practice and supports professional development. Sometimes, educators and teachers are asked to collect "data" or design "surveys" about their school communities. This practice is dangerous as research is a powerful tool that should be designed by Ph.D. to enhance validity and reliability.
